there's a fire inside my head (but I'll just sleep it off)

The second fire-alarm (first official fire-drill) went off just now.

The good part of this drill was that I was actually still awake when it went off (and yes, it did go off at 4am. But we went out tonight- despite my vows that I would stay home this week and work on my Public Law quiz. I'm sorry, but Public Law is boring and obvious and the teacher annoys me (and is hereafter known as Mr America, becasue I can't remember his real name and yes, he is American, and you'd think his accent and booming voice would be enough to keep me awake, but no) and I spent two full days reading case reports for Criminal Law. I needed a break. So we went clubbing to make up for the sobre weekend and got kinda drunk. Well, I did. The others got hammered) and so I was pretty alert (albeit hyper) while we were sitting about in the cafeteria, waiting for the go-ahead, while people around me cursed every god ever existing or imagined and drew hood strings tighter.

(Actually, it may have been our fault, because when we came in, we kinda pissed off the porter- due to some of us being wasted and all of us trying to sneaking in two non-Johnston people, we wern't exactly polite as we came charging in- and Nessa, Nicole's sister who is staying for a few days and who was very very very out-of-her-mind stoven, began crashing about, knocking on doors and waking up the whole of our floor and Raj, our warden. So- yeah... It may have just been petty revenge, rather than an actual drill.)

(I'd be willing to put money on that.)

The bad part about this drill (apart from the 2-3 times we have to rinse and repeat, until we have it down to a flawless T) is that- well, I have a 10am lecture. And it could be worse. Way worse. Like 9am lectures (or even worse, tutorials, because I'm not allowed to miss those). Or a massive hangover on top of the no sleep. Or both. But still. I only got 4 hours sleep yesterday, and tonight, it doesn't look like I'll be getting much more.

(Nothing new in that though, right?)

[EDIT: Nope, wrong information. Apparently, the fire-alarm wasn't a drill. Some pansy in A-block set it off. But don't worry- they will pay.]
